Meet the Polar Bear – Symbolism in Blind Spots & Neuroscience
The polar bear symbol evokes inner strength, power, and leadership. The polar bear is a symbol of family and togetherness.
Neurotransmitters of the brain sometimes trip up. The nerve impulses spread along the axon to the synaptic ending. The higher the frequency of nerve impulses, the more chemicals the neuron will produce. This said using the healing arts to support, neutralize, and rewire helps realign upgrade and make for a softer calmer inner landscape for yourself- while also making the world a better place for all!
These substances, called neurotransmitters activate or inhibit other neurons thus allowing the nerve impulses to pursue its path. There are excitatory neurotransmitters such as glutamate, or inhibitors such as GABA. Some are well known, such as dopamine, which is vital in controlling movement, or serotonin, which is a contributor to a feeling of well-being. The brain’s understanding is much like a computer which is made up of millions of software components that are distributed according to their primary function. The generation of a thought, an idea that allows us to interact and make decisions. Each of us has a unique special way of seeing, learning, comprehending, and respecting our differing perspectives which is essential!!!
Studies say the more brain function used to read and write per day, per week, per year the better human brains will do in many areas of life, not just on test scores. People who have confidence in being expressive, have fluency in language skills and carry on with a sense of ease & grace surrounding communication, interconnections, intimacy, and interpretations of words. Expressing words are critical ingredients in our personal growth and development!
In the words of Fred Rogers, Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.
